Magic in the food served
In 2022, Chef Andrea Jourdan took it upon herself to wow her guests with a complimentary boost to health over a hearty continental breakfast consisting of yogurt, cereals, gluten-free granola, muffins, croissants, and her signature jams. This delightful morning meal is served at The Tavern. To try more of Andrea’s brilliance, step into the lovely on-site restaurant Andrea’s Table. The menus are seasonal, and all ingredients are carefully harvested and sourced directly from the farm. Andrea Jourdan is known for her European culinary experience and the over 100 cookbooks she has written and published. Sample the delectable dining options and signature dishes the chef prepares. Start with Torchon-style foie gras served with brioche, fig jam and foie gras parfait or escargots Andrea-style (garlic escargots, candied tomatoes, parmesan mousse). Move on to the entrées where you can relish the beef duo, which is basically beef ribs served with beef-stuffed tortellini. Another option for sampling the entrée menu would be the scallop and shrimp soufflé, which is scallop and shrimp in creamy white wine leek sauce topped with puff pastry, garnished with lemon slice, truffle oil and truffle powder. Conclude your meal with a Four Columns dessert of meringue and red seasonal fruit.
For guests and visiting diners, who do not want to splurge in a fancy meal, on-site restaurant The Tavern offers more affordable upscale food fare such as beef & beer stew, duck leg confit, chicken pot pie, quiche & salad, and a soup of the day. The beer list features Vermont craft beers, and cocktail list features alluring house specialties every season.
Check out their impressive six-page wine list offering wine by the glass (under USD 20) and bottles ranging from USD 54 to 300. Four Columns Inn also serves one of the finest names of champagne, Laurent Perrier, a specialty indeed to be sourced for the esteemed guests.
