To be held between the 20th of March and the 5th of April, Hachijojima Freesia Festival is a spring tradition of Hachijijoma Island and exhibits over 350,000 freesia blossoms in fields encircling the dormant volcano of Hachi Fuji. Red, purple, yellow, and pink flowers adorn the island and festivities include freesia picking, Hachijo-style taiko drumming, and exploring the local craft markets.
